THOSE WERE THE DAYS WHEN…

THOSE WERE THE DAYSLet’s take a minute to reflect on some positives to being employed that we miss since becoming recession casualties.  “Those were the days when….

… coffee was free in the office kitchen.

… I made more than $430/week.

… I had company benefits - 401K, Health, Dental, etc.

… I had a T&E budget/AMEX corporate card/Blackberry bill paid for.

… my bosses would offer to buy lunch.

… (this is a personal one) I was running around the country with music talent, on the journey to fame with rising stars.

… a part of a team, all striving for profit, with strategic plans in place to achieve the company’s goals.

… (this one’s a little different than the others) I didn’t have to explain to friends and acquaintances how “tough it is out there.”  Apparently once you’re laid off you’re a recession connoisseur.
