It’s Internet Week!
Rumor has it that a lot of 405ers have been using their newfound time to start their own websites and companies. I suggest that the entrepreneurs among us take part in Internet Week (http://www.internetweekny.com/). It’s a 7 day ”festival of events celebrating New York’s thriving Internet industry and community.”
After scouring the week-long schedule I’ve discovered a few interesting events that boast big names and don’t cost a penny. Some provide free software for go-getters and others free drinks.
For the digitally disadvantaged, NYC’s Computer Resource Centers will be holding open house sessions all week long. They have many locations throughout the 5 boros which teach computer applications and offer printing at no cost year round.
Bottom line is that whether you are creating a startup or just want to get a job in the online industry, this festival could rock your world. Discover useful information during a seminar? Tweet or post tips you learn at http://the405club.ning.com/ for the rest of the 405ers to see. Internet Week kicked off today and runs till June 8th.
