Tumblr is looking for an intern.

Tumblr staff:

The time has come! We are officially looking for a part-time Community Intern to help with Meetups, Events, and Press.

You should love: People, Tumblr, email, the post office, and getting paid to do amazing things with awesome people.

We totally love: All of the same stuff, minus the post office (but even that is kind of hilarious if you’re in the right mood).

If you live near NYC and are interested in hearing more, please email jobs@tumblr.com.

Thank you!

15 Odd Jobs You Never Knew Existed.

odd jobs

Looking for a fun or perhaps odd career change? We stumbled upon a list from Women’s Day that will definitely get you “thinking outside of the box” and start “broadening your horizons.”

#1. Odor Tester (as pictured above. Photo courtesy of Nancy Rica Schiff.)  These employees test the efficacy of deodorants and antiperspirants by sniffing subjects’ armpits. Thanks to all of their nosing around, we’re spared the results of faulty products.

Your Jobr Mission Update.

Here’s the deal.  I’m giving each and every 405er who reads this a mission shall you choose to accept it…

Go to your best/good employed friend(s) today and ask him or her if there are any openings at any level at his/her company.  Don’t worry if it’s not in your field of interest - this is for the benefit of all unemployed professionals.  Really stay on them over the next couple of days to get a job description for an opening at their company.  if there’s no official job description, do your best to create one and get an email 405ers can send their resume and cover letters to - you’ll need this.  Now, go to Jobr Jobs and post that job.  Done.

Think about how many jobs leads we’ll give each other in different fields.  When we come together to help one another we’re stronger and it gives us all a better shot at rejoining the workforce.  Let’s do this together. I’ve started paying it forward already with a Business Development Analyst job posting at MediaMath. Now it’s your turn.

**UPDATE: A handful of Jobr jobs have been posted already - keep them coming!
